Gorgeous colors and sunset shot. The silhouette technique add so much to a photo. Thanks for sharing the story, How nice to have had that day together. Really beautiful layout!
I can't believe I haven't commented on this yet. It is amazingly gorgeous!!! All the detail you added is spectaular!! I have always wanted to go to lake Apopka. Maybe someday!! A FAV
First I am so sorry about your brother. What a wonderful day you've describled and such a beautiful photo. Your layout is marvelous..love the colors with the black and love all the different embellishments. Great job! I just added glossy accents on a cricut cut title today too and it does look really cool...gonna save money on Thickers now we can make our own huh?
Absolutely beautiful layout.. Really like how you tied the papers in with the picture. And all the embelis and flowers looks great.. Love the colors of the entire layout and how well they tie to the picture.. My sympathy for your family loss.. This layout is a great tribute to your brother.
Nice page. I like the placement of the title on the page. It adds interest and carries your eyes across the layout. What a beautiful photo of your brother. So sorry for your loss. A lovely tribute.
This is so beautiful Patti!! It reminds me of a Diamond Rio song called "One More Day". I bet your brother is smiling down from that Florida sunset for this wonderful tribute!
This caught my eye on the home pg and I really LOVED everything about it! So happy you included all the products and especially enjoyed your journaling-so sorry for your loss. Adding you to my fav artists! jen
What an amazing photo; love it! You've complimented it beautifully with the gorgeous pp's and lovely embellies. The black renders it truly striking - love it all!
This is for the July color challenge. We had to use the colors of fire...red, orange, yellow and black. This is also for the sketch challenge on the Swirlydoos website.
This is made with alot of the July kit, "Summer Sorbet" from Swirlydoos. The pp is Bo Bunny "Love Shack", the shaped chipboard is Bo Bunny that I painted and stamped with the Opus, Prima stamp, the fancy scroll diecut, the compass stamp, the rub-ons and the sketch were from this kit. The cardstock and the game spinners were either from this kit or previous kits from Swirlydoos.
I also added a few Primas and used corrugated cardboard that I had in my stash. The font is from the Stone Script cartridge that I used glossy accents on....I really liked the effect. It kinda made them like the puffy Thickers. I inked, stamped and stickled the grungeboard bird. The fancy corner diecuts i purchased at the scrapbook expo held recently here in Orlando from a company called Scherenschnitte....they had some of the most gorgeous die-cuts. I forgot that I had them....found them looking through my stuff for something else...LOL
This is a photo of my brother Tim and my husband taken in July of 2007. This was taken while Tim was here on vacation just a few months before he had been diagnosed with cancer and as some of you may remember from a previous lo I did of him, he passed away about 5 months later. We spent the day visiting a museum, had a nice lunch al fresco at a nice restaurant downtown Orlando, then ended the day on the dock on Lake Apopka watching this beautiful sunset....it was indeed One Fine Day!
