On Saturday May 23, 2009 I attended the Doors Open Toronto event. My first stop was to take a tour of the Old Don Jail. I arrived at approximately 9:45am. When I was shocked to discover that there were thousands of people lined up waiting to get in. The end of the line started at Broadview Ave. The line was moving fine until it came to halt around noon. At around 1:15pm, I finally gave up and toured other places. The old jail was closed down in 1977. These are pictures I took from outside the jail. I used chipboard letters and two layers of paper to create the title. I added mini locks to some of the letters. I made it look like the wall was busted open by cutting out random shaped holes, like how the words "pow" and "bam" appear in the comics. Then I inserted pieces of paper in the back to give the brick wall effect.
