Created for the September Darker Side Challenge

Journalling, done on beige cardstock that was distressed, folded, shimmered, then inked:
Pride and Prejudice is my favorite book so when the story was adapted to include zombies I had to read it.
Surprisingly I liked it. It was a fun read and the author did a good job keeping a large amount of the original story within the version.
In keeping with the original Elizabeth and Darcy end up together ~ but now they get to fight zombies alongside each other.

I started with a page of kraft paper and sprayed it with some homemade shimmer mist. I then made the roses myself from black cardstock and shimmery black and green papers.
The photo in the center is from the book's cover (isn't it gruesome!?) and I took some tulle that I had shimmered and gathered behind the pic. The frames around the photo were cut on my Cricut using the Gypsy to weld together pieces from Storybook and Stretch Your Imaginations carts.
I also cut the greenery and branches from my Cricut using Home Decor, Songbird, and Botanicals carts (I believe).
The journal spot to the right is the first line of the book, the oh so known "It is a truth universally acknowledged..." starter, but changed a little to fit in zombies - I used a piece of vellum and shimmered it, heated it to make it curl, then wrote in the quote.
The picture to the left is a pic of just some of my P&P copies... I have a lot ;)
And in the lower right of the page I put E & D for Elizabeth and Darcy! I used the Elegant Cake Cricut cart.
The title was also cut on the Cricut using the Gypsy to weld the Songbird font for the P&P, the Zombies portion I used Opposites Attract (I think.... - I should probably write these things down...)
I used a glitter glue to add some dots within the dahlia flowers and to add a touch here and there to the page.

This was such a fun, but challenging page to work on!
Thanks for peeking in!! ~Ren
