I just love this picture of my daughter. Seeing the magic of Christmas in a childs eyes is one of the most hearttouching moments.
Journaling: Christmas 2005
Christmas has always been a magical time of year for me but I didn’t realize how wonderful it could be... until you! You would have thought I was the child waiting for Santa to come and visit.... I was so excited to see your excitement when you saw the presents under the tree and all the holiday decorations around the house. Your face light up when you looked at the Christmas tree and you pointed to the decorations to tell me what each of them were. You’d say, “mommy... ball or blue snowman...” We would go through all the ornaments that you could reach and talk about each of them. Daddy and I were so excited for you to see the kitchen Santa brought for you and all the gifts from family and friends. We have tried to teach you that Christmas is about giving, a time filled with love, and a time to remember what is true in life. Having you to celebrate it with makes everything perfect. I love that you are a part of my life, I love that you see the magic in Christmas and the magic in life. You are, just like the star of Bethlehem... you are my shining star. My star that leads me to take the path that is true, my star that teaches me life is about the small things, about love, about family. Thank you for showing me that the magic of Christmas is never-ending and is with us all year around!
