OMGosh!!!! 1. Love the LO and all the little "Sarah things" you've done here! 2. I can relate to your story on SO MANY LEVELS: naturally curly hair, summer in the South, not so worth it 3. AWESOME TITLE!!!!! You ROCKED this one, Sarah!!!
This just turned out so cute! I must use that sketch! Perfect title, and of course beautiful pictures of you!! I love the yellow pp, it pops! Love all the random brads and the journaling strips! My favorite is probably the ribbon at the bottom, PERFECT addition to this adorably fabulous page! TFS!!
I think I like your hair much better short and I'm sure that it's much easier to take care of. LOVE the mix of colors on this...super cute layout with a perfect title!
I am totally with you. I have naturally curly, thick hair. I had mine short for 2ish years and decided to grow it out. Now that it is long and past that ackward point, I can wear it up and it is usually up.
Great layout and photos. I love your Audrey Hepburn-esque hair-do.
Your title is a perfect pun! Great papers and design! So understand the "wash & go" style 'cause my older aged hair doesn't do that anymore! Enjoy the ease of care while you have lots of other fun things to concentrate on.
fun and lively page-love your colour and pattern combination! Your hair looks terrific! My son has very curly, thick hair, and if he lets it go too long between cuts, it goes WILD!!
I absolutely LOVE your page, Sarah!!!!!!! Everything about it is so clever and cute! I love the Roman Holiday do!!!!!!! And your title - just awesome and very, very creative! Glad you like your new cut - you look so pretty!!!!!!!
oh sarah, I would give anything to have natural curly hair like you and luv your sporty audrey look cant imagine you with it long...very very cute fotos, detailing,,,a luvly page
I just love this page - almost as much as the new "do"!!!! That cut is definitely YOU! Love the mix of pps and the cute page design - That title is just perfect - soooo cute - LOVE the journaling, too! Great, great page!!!
love the lighthearted journaling to go with your lovely fun photos and lo. I too have short hair for all those same reasons. LOVE your title too. GREAT lo.
Adorable layout and journaling! I think that you look gorgeous with your short hair. I keep mine short too, we live in a very very humid tropical country...bAd hair day everyday!
heehee...adorable Sarah! I feel your pain sista as I'm a curly head myself ! takes ALOT of work to keep it managable LOL. Such a cute LO, great topic and very creative title! love it all!
"For the past five years or so, I’ve sported this short, pixie-ish, Audrey Hepburn- esque (think “Roman Holiday”) hair style. I love having short hair- it’s easy, low-maintenance, & different from most other girls my age- but I was about ready for a change. In January 2011, I decided to see how long I could last without getting my hair cut. I lasted almost eight months. You see, my hair is naturally curly (i.e. difficult) & very thick (i.e. difficult). When it starts getting long, it’s got a mind of its own & can be a bit overwhelming. Furthermore, I was actually having to blow dry it every day- imagine! I’ve gotten a tad spoiled with my short, low-maintenance style. Also, long hair + summer in the south = so not worth it. Thus in August I could take it no longer & gave Mama the go-ahead to hack it all off. The time had come to tame my unruly mane. Three inches gone- much better! I look like myself again. And the best part- it’s just wash ‘n go. But ya never know, I might get a wild hair (pun intended) to grow it out again someday!"
For this page, I used papers from October Afternoon's "Thrift Shop" & "Fly a Kite" lines. The black & white ribbon at the bottom of the page is by American Crafts. I used stickers (October Afternoon) and stamps for my title. For the alphastamps, I used our Labelon kit- we found one at an antique store. This thing is soo cool- I love using it.
