"For the past five years or so, I’ve sported this short, pixie-ish, Audrey Hepburn- esque (think “Roman Holiday”) hair style. I love having short hair- it’s easy, low-maintenance, & different from most other girls my age- but I was about ready for a change. In January 2011, I decided to see how long I could last without getting my hair cut. I lasted almost eight months. You see, my hair is naturally curly (i.e. difficult) & very thick (i.e. difficult). When it starts getting long, it’s got a mind of its own & can be a bit overwhelming. Furthermore, I was actually having to blow dry it every day- imagine! I’ve gotten a tad spoiled with my short, low-maintenance style. Also, long hair + summer in the south = so not worth it. Thus in August I could take it no longer & gave Mama the go-ahead to hack it all off. The time had come to tame my unruly mane. Three inches gone- much better! I look like myself again. And the best part- it’s just wash ‘n go. But ya never know, I might get a wild hair (pun intended) to grow it out again someday!"

For this page, I used papers from October Afternoon's "Thrift Shop" & "Fly a Kite" lines. The black & white ribbon at the bottom of the page is by American Crafts. I used stickers (October Afternoon) and stamps for my title. For the alphastamps, I used our Labelon kit- we found one at an antique store. This thing is soo cool- I love using it.

Thanks so much for looking!!
