I have had tons of requests asking how to make the paper rose on top of the hat box that I made so here you go! :)

#1 The first step is to cut out the base of your flower. It should be between 3 1/2 to 4 inches from the tip of one petal straight across to the petal on the opposite side. If you have a flower stencil, that would work too! I don't have one, so I punched out 5 one and a half inch circles and temporarily taped them down on cream cardstock to form the roundness of the petals. Then I traced them, and removed the circles. You can also use any color of cardstock that you like, but the object is to chalk the center of your flower darker to make it look like a real rose. :)
