This is my great Uncle Martin. This pic has to be from around 1929, early 1930's. He took care of my mom and her brother after their grandmother died. Their mother was declared insane by their father (because he wanted a divorce). My Uncle Martin was also my Godfather.

This lo is for two challenges. The scraplift the person before. I scraplifted from Lynda Marie's "Dorothy" found here: http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/151119/view/2059037/-1.html
and for week 4 of Feb One Month at a TIme
1. use two shades of same color - violets
2. Use some kind of stitching - I stitched the ribbon and the middle of the flowers along the left side
3. Use a paint or spray. I misted the flower layers with Perfect Pearls and Shimmerz Spritz plum pudding.
4. two stamped images. You can barely see, but in a violet ink I stamped flourishes along the the right side and the on the title tag. I need to try and find more information before I fill out the tag. But I had to put something there, since the top of the picture didn't fit to the top of the circle.

This was very challenging for me. I hate circles and I had to include a lot of elements on top of the lift. The colors are much richer IRL. The bg pp is a grayish-olive color and the ribbons is sheer olive with glittery gold around the roses and the edge of the ribbon. Then stitching on paper is something I don't like to do, but I love how I stitched little bows on the flowers and swirled the ribbon. TFL
