This was created for the CK Summer Camp Inspiration Board/Metals & Paper challenge. I decided to take the design of Laura Vegas' inspiration board and Kim Watson's idea of creating a layout designed like an inspiration board and combine them to create this layout.
I had several mementos from Liam's 5-week hospital stay after he was born that I wanted to include and the idea of designing the page like an inspiration board was perfect for showcasing those mementos. I used cork patterned paper, wire, paper clips, brads (to serve as my tacks), and even a Post-It Note behind my title to make it seem more like a bulletin board.
The mementos showcased are the one and only photo I have of Liam right when he was born - it was take by a nurse in the OR because I had an emergency c-section so my husband was not in the room and I was under general anesthesia. Then I have our three ID bracelets. Andrew's & mine are well worn from wearing them for 5 weeks. Then there is a scanned, scaled-down copy of his NICU graduation diploma. Next is a wallet-size photo of his first portrait taken the day before discharge. Then there was his name tag that was on his isolette/bassinet while he was in the NICU. Then there are copies of his footprints taken after birth. Then I have a scanned, scaled-down copy of a certificate the hospital provided with his birth stats and footprints.
