TFL! I wanted to document how I felt about having two girls... I thought I was pregnant with a boy BOTH times.... but I wouldn't trade them for the world.

The journaling reads:

When I was pregnant with Morgan, I was pretty sure I was carrying a boy. I imagined this little brown hair, blue eyed version of Steve, and pictured them fishing together, going to Boy Scouts where Steve would be the group leader, and doing yard work together. I was shocked on the big day when out came a little girl. When I was pregnant with Payton, THIS time was sure. It’s a boy. We would have one of each. Again I was mistaken, and this time, Steve was the one to tell me, as he leaned over the sheet in the operating room. “It’s a girl,” he said. “It’s Payton!” Two times I thought I knew what we were getting. Two times I thought I knew what we wanted. And two times we got what we were meant to have. Boy Scouts? Nope. But when I look out the window and watch Morgan chasing her daddy around the yard, blond locks bouncing with each step, eager to help with the latest yard project, eager to jump in the truck and head down to the fishing hole, I know that we wouldn’t change a thing. To the depths of our souls, we love them both. Will there be more? I don’t know. But what I can say is that it doesn’t matter who they are, boy or girl the love is the same. We are lucky to be
their Mom and Dad.

Thanks for looking! Davinie
