Billy Bob Pacifier
(Ma Li’l Darlin’ Boy)

To pull out the tag, you use the Bubba Binky letters. The tag reads:

First of all, I can’t believe I did this layout. One of these days sweet baby Andrew is going to ask me if I had lost my mind. Either that – or he’ll love it.
You have to understand the story behind this pacifier. About 5½ years ago, when my daughter was pregnant, for some unknown reason, both my sons and my son-in-law bought “Billie Bob teeth”. If you are not familiar with Bob teeth … well…they are really gross, they are like buckteeth, crooked, stained, missing, and/or rotten out hillbilly teeth. They are hideous, and if secured with this putty that comes with them, they stay in place pretty good. So we all go to Babies R Us to look at cribs and suddenly we noticed 3 grown men (ages 19-24) with these horrid teeth, wandering through the store. They were acting very serious, even talking to people, and then they would have to go behind something, to laugh on the floor. People were staring wide eyed at them, some laughed out loud, some must of thought they were real and they were just guys with ugly teeth. It actually was pretty funny (and embarrassing)!! I guess this is a “guy thing”. Of course, when I saw them, after cracking up – I acted like I didn’t know them, which only made matters worse. So … fast forward 5 years and one of my sons now has a baby. So what do I do? I order a Billy Bob Pacifier. I don’t know what possessed me to do that, maybe it was the phrase “When you have your own kids – it’s pay back time.’ Anyway, this is a real pacifier; it just has teeth on the front of it. When he uses it, people stop and gawk and giggle. What can you do?? (smile and go on…heehee.) (June 29, 2006)

(Please note - I did not get it for 'pay back'... that just popped into my head after I scrapped this. Little Andrew is so loved, he would never be picked on, and everyone that saw it thought he was so cute too. So it's not a 'mocking' thing. And sadly, the ring recently broke off, so the pacifier is no more. So I'm glad I have this picture)

Journaling strips say:
“His teeth stick out so far he can eat corn on the cob through a picket fence.”
“What is that thar what-cha-ma-cal-lit thing-a-ma-bob doo-hickey thang?”.
“Don’t sit der like a bump on a lawg.”
“Hoooeee! That milk’s done gone sar!”
“OH stop yer bawlin and get back in the truch.”
“What cha hollerin’ bout?”
“C’on on y’all go with me.”
“Ya’ll have a good’un.”
“I clean up good.”
“Cute asa bug ina rug.”

The inking on the journaling strips is a bit splotchy, and now I almost wish I had just used a little chalk on the edges. Perhaps later on I will change it.
