I love New York City at Christmastime. Every year we hop on the train and head north to spend a day exploring Rockefeller Center and Times Square. These photos are from the light show display at Saks Fifth Avenue. Every 12 minutes, the building transforms into panes of “windows”, bubbles and snowflakes everywhere. I loved the look on my son's face as he looked at this skyscraper transform. True Christmas magic - NYC style!I used a mix of Crate Paper's Peppermint and October Afternoon's Holiday Style to create the layout. I like how the vintage buildings and wood background create a feeling a warmth and still match the city buildings. These are so versatile I could use them for my pictures of a quaint Christmas village we visited this year as well. The bold splash of turquoise and red add contrast to my mostly “colorless” photos. And one tiny (and blurry) shot of my son in front of the buildings finishes off the layout. TFL!
