Thousands of cal poly grads attended the ceremony with me including lots of punk friends and fellow materials engineers. Afterwards, there was a more intimate gathering for the materials engineering grads, parents, friends, and professors. I got to thank all my professors (including Linda vanasupa) for their time and patience. My favorite professor was Dr. William Forgeng, our metallurgy teacher. He had great wit, humor, and patience. For an old guy, he knew how to get along well with college kids. He retired a few years after I graduated.<p>I was also a bit sad making this LO because I found out from an alumni newsletter that Dr. Forgeng died earlier this year. He was such an awesome teacher and man.
