Hi everyone! Sharing my last layout of the year and I'm thrilled to report that I met my goal of making at least one layout per month for this year!

This is the first layout I've made using a picture of just myself! The event was a very special time in my life. I was a senior in high school and my brother had taught me how to play “Landslide” by Stevie Nicks on his 12-string guitar for the May Day talent show. (I love her original version the best.) Just before I went before the huge crowd in the gymnasium, he told me not to start playing until the audience was quiet. When I was introduced to the crowd, I did as he said. I was beginning to think they weren't going to get quiet when all of a sudden he stood up, raised his hands and yelled “HEY”! You could've heard a pin drop! (He later said that was his “Fonzie” moment!)
I had made the outfit I was wearing for the show and my sweet mother did all of the embroidery work on it. The flowers and butterflies you see on the layout are half of that project. They were on the jacket and pants. I fussy cut these out since they were too large to leave on the pieces of fabric. The buttons at the top are also from the outfit. Unfortunately, I accidentally put a little dent in one of them, but oh well!

The beautiful wood and chipboard pieces are from Unique Laser Designs. I was a Guest Designer for them for 3 months from October to December. My last project for them was the Keepsake Box I just posted last week. The frame I used was cut with my Cricut using the Reminisce cartridge. All of the pieces I painted with Ranger Gold paint dabber. On the frame I used Tim Holtz Clear Rock Candy crackle paint and when it dried I rubbed a paper towel on TH Aged Mahogany Distress Ink pad and then over the frame. I also used the crackle paint on the clock to give it an aged look. I also used a guitar string that my son gave me a set of when he changed the strings on his guitar.

I wanted the lyrics to the song on my layout so I typed that up on Word. The pretty papers were given to me by a good friend from her mother's stash of papers she no longer wanted. I love the background paper. It is textured with raised gold all over.

Thank you all for your continued support of my projects and I hope you all have a wonderful and safe New Year!
