Here's the journaling:
I love so many things about you at this age! You’re always so
excited to see me, and you always want to be with me. You’re
so fun to be around, and you do the silliest things. You always
want to know more, and you are getting so smart! You’re
always smiling and laughing and playing games with us!

You’ve accomplished so much this year! You went from being
just a tiny, 7 pound, 13 ounce baby that just lays there, cries,
sleeps, and eats, to the strong young boy you are now! You’ve
learned to smile, roll over, laugh, sit, crawl, wave ‘bye’, play
peek-a-boo, eat by yourself, say ‘mama, dada, nana, baba’,
and be the cutest thing in the world!

You have a lot more likes than dislikes at this age. Your favorite
foods are sweet potatoes and bananas. You also love pizza and
popsicles! You don’t like peas. You love to look at books, and you
love to look at pictures, so of course you love to look at
scrapbooks! You love to hear music, and sometimes I think you
try to “sing” along. Your favorite stuffed animal is your Mickey
Mouse, and some of your favorite toys include your farmhouse,
your guitar, and your bouncy balls, which you love to chase around!
You also really like to play hide-and-seek with mom and dad, and
you like to be outside.

There are so many funny things you say and do! As soon as you
hear the hairdryer turn on, you hurry down the hall to shake your
head at me, as if “asking” me to shake my head so you can laugh!
When you say ‘mama and dada’, you say ‘mama’ very gently and
sweetly, then when you say ‘dada’, you tense up and say it in a
louder, funny voice!

I have a lot of hopes and dreams for the upcoming year. I know
that you’re going to learn so many new things this next year. You’re
going to learn how to walk, talk, and you’ll know how to do so many
things all by yourself! I just hope that you always know how much
your mom and dad love you!
