This is the first page of my mother's book, which will be a Christmas gift for her. It's a pic of her in 1958. Journaling reads: Mom, When I look at this photo, I am reminded of a time in our lives that holds sweet memories for me. I must say, that I still don’t know how you got through, but somehow you did. This was a time in history when being a single mother was not well received. You had responsibilities that most people could only try to understand. But you held a full-time job, raised two daughters, paid Catholic school tuition, and always found time to teach us morals, values, and a love for family. In fact, you carried the weight of the world with grace and style. I will always be grateful to you for your sacrifices and I thank you for all that you have taught me. Love, Barbara
