Accept Me, Luv Me and Worship the Paws I Walk On

This is for the last week of the scraptathlon. boo-hoo! sniff, sniff! Thank you Kia for making such fun and awesome challenges! This week we were to do two, 2 pg. los. This one is for the theme "Take Me As I Am". We were supposed to do a lo on acceptance, with journaling of at least 100 words and use at least one picture. This is written from the perspective of my beloved canine. Journaling reads:
It has been almost a year now since I decided to let you have the privilege of me becoming a part of your family. I sometimes get the idea that you think you let me become a part of the family. NOT TRUE. There are a few points that I don’t think you quite understand that I think would make our second year a lot easier on all of us. If you keep three simple phrases in mind it will make everything so much better…ACCEPT ME, LOVE ME, and WORSHIP THE PAWS I WALK ON. Please keep these phrases in mind as I enlighten you on certain facts:

1. I AM THE KING OF CHEW. Nothing will deter me on my mission to chew up EVERYTHING in my path. Yes, I love the chew toys and bones and treats you buy me, but this is not enough. The sooner you understand that I WILL and MUST chew all that is before me, the sooner we will all get along. Yes, that means your wicker couch, the computer table,pillows, socks, tissue paper, and occasionally the walls if nothing else will satisfy. Now remember…ACCEPT ME, LOVE ME, and WORSHIP THE PAWS I WALK ON.

2. DO NOT DRESS ME UP IN ANY KIND OF COSTUME. This is absolutely beneath the dignity of a dog of my stature. You might think I look cute in a baseball outfit, but REALLY…what are you thinking?! Even worse are reindeer antlers, doggie shirts of any kind, or anything, do I dare even say it out loud…anything with lace! I am not an accessory! Once again remember…ACCEPT ME, LOVE ME, and WORSHIP THE PAWS I WALK ON.

3. I RESENT THE INSINUATIONS THAT I SMELL. Do you think I don’t notice it when you hold your nose whenever you come close to me? Do you think I don’t see all the air fresheners in my room? I think I have a lovely smell and YOU are the ones with odor problems. Yes, I am going to repeat…ACCEPT ME, LOVE ME, and WORSHIP THE PAWS I WALK ON.

There are, of course, other things that I could complain about and bring to your attention, but I will hold off for now. I think the points I have covered are a good starting point. I do love you all very much, you know. It is my hope that you will begin to understand how things should be. Please never forget …ACCEPT ME, LOVE ME, and WORSHIP THE PAWS I WALK ON.
