Your LO is so cool! I wish I could give you a prize!! The banner is awesome. Love all the patterned paper!! Best of all is your journaling. So nice that his personality will live on forever in a scrapbook!
I love how you find such perfect embellishments from many sources. Embellishing layouts is one of the hardest parts of scrapbooking and yours are so appropriate each time.
Amazing heritage page!!! I love the papers and banners and images and overall design; even more, I love your journaling that shows how - and why - you love this remarkable man.
What a FABULOUS heritage lo and tribute to your Father. The journaling is wonderfully heartwarming and a perfect way for future generations to get to know your father. I love your creativity - your artistry and love of preserving your family history SHINES. TFS.
I feel the love you have for your Father in your journaling. It is so heartwarming. He is handsome and it sounds like you had the perfect Dad. That vintage Graphic 45 papers and accents were made just for you and this page. I laughed when I read the quote. I'm still laughing as a matter of fact.
This is such a wonderful vintage layout! Those papers from G-45 are perfect and your journaling is awesome. Like the front of the car, the watch, key, pennants, in other words, love everything!!!!
Oh... This is absolutely amazing page! Love everything about this LO very much! The priceless photo, the perfect embellishments, the so pretty banner, the excellent choice of paper! Great job!
Journaling reads: In my eyes, my daddy was a legend. He will always be highly regarded for all of his years of hard work to support our large family, for being the best daddy anyone could ever want, for loving me unconditionally, for all the sacrifices he made for all of us, for all the poetry he quoted to us and the songs he sang to us, for his sweet hugs and so much more. He will always be remembered for the stories of his exploits: stories about his bravery during WWII, his adventures during his growing up years, his funny pranks and happenings during his time spent working for Eastern Air Lines, and more…
This is my handsome Daddy - probably around 1947, which would have been shortly after he and Mama met and married.
The large car and the man driving at top are from Authentique's Dapper collection. The strip of cars at the top is by Karen Foster. Most of the other pps are by G45. The flags were cut by hand, doodled and then black twine was run across the top. The legend scroll was hand cut from an old book of vintage ephemera by Paper Pizazz. The pocket watch is from a book of masculine images by Artsy Collage. The key is a sticker is from Nostalgiques - keys and locks. Thanks so much for stopping by :)
