Your son was such a darling!!! The block design is perfect for the square photos from the 70's. Nice job on getting all those squares all lined up so nicely. Love the rustic look of the wood grain paper mixed with the Christmas prints. Such a cute LO.
This is so beautiful! Love how you did the blocks. Love those photos, so cute and like also how you did the title by putting Santa between the two words. Would you believe that we were in Colorado also when our oldest took his first steps, we were sitting at a laundromat when he took the first steps.
This LO is from a pattern from Mosiac Moments. They have their own dies and all the patterns are based around 1 inch blocks. Hard to explain but check out their website. Text is cut with the Cricut in sparkle paper and I used it to cut all the 1 in squares. The middle sectons are MM dies. The "Pull" tab came to me as I was trying to figure out how to journal all these memories. Behind the LO I placed foam tape to act as wall & a stop for a piece of cardstock that I typed on and is appox 4" x 7". It pulls up smoothly and can be re-inserted into the channel. The journaling tells how his 1st Christmas was spent in CO for a mo where he took his first steps (at 10 mos) to get the that crazy patchwork donkey that I had to carry along with him, diaper bags, purse, and a bag of gifts thru 3 airports inc O'Hare. He also met Santa (my uncle Bob) and the potato was something his Aunt Peg put into his stocking and he teethed on it all day.
