This LO was made for both the May monthly Theme challenge and the may Lyric challenge. This was my first attempt at chalking. I chalked the edges of the town paper as ell as the ribbon. The journaling reads "As a kid, I looked forward to seeing my Mom's tulips come up every spring. I remember always saying that I would have tulips in my own yard someday. As I got older I discovered that I truly have a "black thumb." After living in my own house for a little over 4 years, I made a bold attempt to plant my own tulip bulbs. Imagine my surprise when 10 of the 12 bulbs came up & bloomed. Seeing them come up the past spring finally made my house feel like a home. April 2007.
