Sew what you have been up to? This bold creation puts sewing at the center of attention with many versatile vintage images. Follow the instructions below and explore the art of mixed media with the timeless Tim Holtz Alterations product lineup for Sizzix.
Die-cut a Tag out of chipboard and stamp with the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Dress Form Sketch cling stamp from CMS147. If desired, embellish along the top of the Tag with stitching. Die-cut the Sewing Room On the Edge design out of chipboard. Embellish with ink and paint pen. Add a gleam of silver to the large button with a silver marker. Add twine and a button and attach to the Tag. Attach two strips of ribbon along the bottom of the Tag and a binder clip to the top of the Tag. Adhere rick-rack along the edges of the Tag. Stamp Sewing Machine Sketch Mini, from CMS 150 onto black cardstock. Line up the template over the stamped image. Poke through the center of the registration mark into the cardstock. Cut out the stamped image using the Stamp2Cut option with the eclips machine and Tim Holtz Alterations Stamp2Cut cartridge Number 21. Attach to the Tag using adhesive foam. Die-cut letters to spell the word "SEW" out of black cardstock using the Wanted alphabet die and adhere to the Tag. Die-cut several small Flowers from the Tattered Flower Garland out of cardstock and distress with ink. Bend petals upward to give dimension and attach together with a brad. Attach the Flowers to the Tag along with snippets of ribbons and a decorative straight pin. Make a tutu for the dress form out of a piece of sewing pattern paper and attach to the Tag along with a ribbon bow. Finish by adding decorative buttons and a tab made from a label.
