NSD 2020 Scrapbooker's Choice Challenge

So something really cool happened during NSD weekend. My friends and I joined a virtual crop since we could not be together for our girls weekend. I did not know the host but was invited through another friend and I invited my friends. There were a few contests, some swaps, bingo and some get to know you questions. One question was "what was your last scrappy purchase?" I replied I had just gotten a couple of Tim Holtz Oxide inks and that I was really enjoying his Saturday afternoon Live sessions over the last few weeks and that I felt I would soon be broke because I wanted to get all of his inks. The next day I received a pm in my inbox. One of the other scrappers had seen my post and said she had a set of 44 Distress Inks that she no longer used and would like to gift them to me. She said most were almost new, a few had been re-inked and a few would need to be re-inked. Would I want them, no cost to me, just send her my address and she would mail to me! I was floored. I told her I would be willing to pay for them, or at least pay postage. She said I could pay for postage but insisted that she wanted the inks to go where she knew they would be appreciated and used and that she knew I would. I sent her money for the postage and a few days later a box with 44 distress pads, sponges, a bottle of ink refresher and a box of blending tools arrived. I was floored by her generosity. So I went back and rewatched the Tim Holtz videos, played around on Pinterest and You Tube and tried to create backgrounds. Lots of mistakes, lots of throwaways at first (I have found that I can make something I don't like, put it aside and a few days later I realized it's not so bad or figure out a way to make it work). I have a long way to go but I have has so much fun playing with the inks. I am still going broke because there are so many things I still want. Here are some ATC's I made this month. Thank you Rhonda!
