My boyfriend is a Civil War enthusiast, and also very busy with a Bar preparation course, and I thought it would be nice for him to have a notebook having to do with one of his interests :)

The front cover has Rusty Pickle papers, Prince Humperdink and Confederate Money. The ribbon is also Rusty Pickle, raspberry creamsicle, I think. The laser cut is from Griff's Shortcuts. The black border is comprised of two different 7gypsies gaffer's tapes (le monde on top and bottom and blank on the side.) The screw mini brads along the right border are from Karen Davis Designs. The mini brads along the bottom and in the middle of the cannon are all my memories, in gun metal grey. The black self-adhesive chipboard letters, "Dan" are from Heidi Swapp newsprint font alphabet, in "jet".

The inside cover is paper from SugarTree, Kersten Scrapbook Collection, and the only identifier upon it is Item KCW2. The page is bordered with black blank 7gypsies gaffer's tape.

The flags (which were a PAIN IN THE BEHIND to make!) are kind of a throw together thing. I started with the Pirate flag BossKuts die (cut with the Cuttlebug, heh), and cut the flag shape. Then I had to just... estimate for all other cuts, the stripes, the blue square..) I used a border punch (which I'm not sure who made it) that has tiny crescent moons and stars and punched out the stars and then hand attached them.

Most of the papers used are sueded, by papertex (moreover, Wintech). I popped the backdrops for the flags (black paper) up with Making Memories foam adhesive squares.

The back cover is simply the same paper as on the front, Confederate Money, but without further embellishment. The inside back cover is unadorned.
