if he was only eight inches long and as big around as twine you got very close for this, he does have a lovely texture, we had milk snake dead in the road and I let kids take a pic, should I post it too?

What kind os snake? We've had some pretty garder snakes with red and green, they've been dead on the road and did not think we wanted photos of that! Great texture!

Great close up!! I ran over a baby gardner snake the other day with my car. I was sad, I don't like to kill things like that.

I hate snakes too but thought as it was a baby snake it would be ok. It definately does look like mesh in a weird way. You must be a very brave lady.

I went for a walk today, it is cooler than it has been before and many little creatures were sunning themselves on the paved path. YUCK this was about 8 inches long and as big around as twine. I couldn't believe it let me get close enough for this. I couldn't believe I wanted to get close enough. YUCK But it does look like fine woven mesh doesn't it?
