I won't even go in Wal Mart (Wal Fart, lol). Problem is most other stores have the same wares from other places. Wal Mart used to have a very American image and they still try to, but too many people know better. I do buy American whenever possible even if it costs more. Problem is, you can't readily FIND it!
makes sense, i guess the corporation is american...i mean, in canada i think they fly the canadian flag, so it might just be pride on the part of the owners? not sure. but an interesting thought, nonetheless.
Just a couple of days ago, I was wondering what happened to the campaign Walmart used to have about buying/selling American-made products. There were signs in the stores and ads on TV, but I don't recall seeing any for a very long time. This confuses me too.
Clever take! I don't shop at Wal-Mart, the closest one to me is 50+ miles away. With gas prices at least .60¢ or more higher per gallon than everywhere else I shop closer to home.
Wow you are so right. I think that would be a good letter or email campaign to ask them that. Not that it would do any good but it would make us feel better. I love this idea for the mini.
I was sitting in the car waiting on John to run in wallyworld and I got to really looking and thinking about the store. It is hard to see but, most of you probably know that the flag is an American flag. Where my confusion comes in is how they (Walmart) can fly and American flag as if they are proud to be in America, yet most of their products are made in or at least come from countries who are not our friends. Confuses me! And I hope I don't offend anyone, this is just my thought for the day!
