I'm lovin' the boy pages lately. Great papers and what a cutie he is.... will be home on the weekend so will have more time to view your postings next week.
See what happens when you think outside the box? This is amazing!!! Love that pic of the grandson too. He does look like a little man standing there with his hands in his pockets. LOL!!! Too cute!!
oh...this is SO COOL!!! love everything on this LO & the photos are FAB - love how you included those detailed close-ups. TFS I am so inspired to try my hand at something like this!! :) LL
Pardon MY french, but LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I got quite the chuckle from reading your description of this BEAUTIFUL layout! You really did a GREAT job. I love that you used the metal mesh (the fence LOL) as a mask! How creative! I'm so happy that you were able to step outside of your box and SCRAP THE BOX! That's what this kit was for and you aced it! WTG!
LOL!!! yep! that sounds like you! :D i would have said the same thing! LOL!! but wow! you sure aced this kit! just amazing Jackie!! the pics are just too cute and i love that little wrench!! the cardboard is awesome! i better go find a box now! LOL!!! fave of coarse!!!!!!!!!!
oh, and there was a piece of cardboard in the kit you didn't have to tear apart the box!! lol! So now you have another piece to make another killer layout!!! :)
lol! I loved reading our story! I felt the same way! NO BLOOMS???? heaven forbid!!! But I started workng with the kit and I love it too!! But, I did use couple blooms anyway, lol!!! You know how it is with old dogs!! ha ha!! You did a fabulous job with the kit! Love the pics and I really love how you used that little bit of dry wall tape on the title and spaceship! So cool! Can't wait to see what else you do with this kit! You are awesome, girl!
Oooowwwwww Fabulous!!!! I so can't wait for my kit to arrive....if the sneak peak hadn't already sold me....this lo would of! Thanks for the inspiration!
Its a great page, and you are the best saleswoman for the swirlydoos kit! Your description was fab - we've all been there with weird and wonderful kit additions, but you make it work so well!
JACKIE... U DID A GREAT JOB WITH THIS!!! AREN'T THE SWIRLYDOOS KITS FUN, THEY HAVE SO MUCH STUFF IN THEM & U GET 2 TRY THINGS THAT U NORMALLY WOULDN'T TRY!!! ANYHOO THIS IS AN AWESME BOY LO!!!
I babysat the grand kids last week, so naturally it was picture time, and while I tried, getting candid shots of Gary is near impossible because he sees the camera, comes and stands directly in front of it and grins! He is so all boy with his dirty Tshirt and hands in his pockets stance that I find him just adorable no matter the pose!
This is my my first swirlydoos kit, Urban Grunge. All the gorgeous layouts posted from last months whimsy kit with the gorgeous flowers, girlie colors and elements totally sold me, and then my first kit arrived with nary a flower in sight, but a square of chain link fence! Scuse my French, but my first thought was HS! WTF am I supposed to do with this!!!! I read that this pkg was supposed to challenge me to think outside the box, and I supposed they wanted me to scrap the box instead, so I did. I pulled the top off the cardboard, put some urban grunge pp on top and covered it with the hambly transparency that came in the kit, then used the fence as a mask to paint the pattern on the part of the cardboard that I pulled off and use it as a photo mat, and I'll be darned if I'm not just thrilled with the whole project! Course the Beggahuna sketch that came with the kit helped considerably! Can't wait to get some more pix so I can use the rest, and I even saw a lo where the dang fence was prominently featured as a photo mat and it looked fabulous!
