I spent way too much time trying to get this right because of the colors in the picture, and it still didn't do it for me.
The paper was white, and I handcolored it using pastels. Then I cut out swirlies, pasteled them, and stitched fibers over the top - a scraplift from a LO in the <i>Freestyle</i> book just out from Autumn Leaves. Stitched the top of the photo, and the bottom green background paper, with a coral bead.
The writing is my messy handwriting:
