I tackled the Holiday Theme Album a little different than most I think. I know myself…and I will never go back and finish an album. I stink at that and I have the unfinished albums to prove it! When I start a project it needs to have an end in sight because I won't come back to it. That's why I decided to make a Christmas Card Album. I treasure the photo cards we get from friends and family at Christmas. It's so neat to see how much the kids have grown and how their families have grown. Not to mention seeing their creativity in their picture and card design. It's a shame that the cards usually end up in a stack with me at a loss for what to do with them. I don't really want to cut them up. I knew I needed a simple design so I would follow it through and perhaps repeat it in years to come. I could even add to this album by adding in more chipboard dividers between the years. We'll see…but for now 2012 is done!I used an oversized chipboard banner I had in my stash as the album cover & back. I punched holes in all the picture cards we had and bound it together with rings. I added a few patterned paper dividers throughout just for fun. I used limited embellishments on those…just a few stamps and badges. For the cover I punched circles from several regular Christmas cards we received, and combined those with punched circles from patterned paper, and circle stickers. I adhered all with pop dots because that's more fun.You can also see that I included one of our cards. I used the pocket envelope as a place to tuck a little note.
