These photos preserve a Sunday afternoon drive that my grandparents, mother, and aunt took one day around 1939. The original photos were small so I scanned and enlarged them but they are not good quality but I wanted to preserve this memory. I used papers from Graphic 45 Times Nouveau Collection. The tag with the quote is from Tim Holtz. The journaling reads: Before television, Sunday afternoon football, the internet, and video games, there was the Sunday afternoon ride. After church and Sunday dinner that Grandmoma would so lovingly prepare, Granddaddy would often say " Let's go to ride." With no particular destination in mind and the windows down, they would take a leisurely ride often on unpaved country roads. On this particular afternoon in 1939, they captured one of those Sunday afternoon rides.
