This LO turned out great. First paper piecings I have done in a long time! I forgot how time consuming they were. This is the first time I've done stitching by hand on a LO. Talk about time consuming! But I really like how it looks, so I'll definetly be doing that again! The alphas were a font that I downloaded and then made a pattern for with MS Word.
LO is from our first Disney trip- May 2005. I just wish I had gotten more/better photos!!
Wow I love this...you made the Mickey and Minnie? I'm impressed. My dd downloaded that font and I can't wait to use this. She's in Disneyland right now (wish I were) and I can't wait to scrap photos cuz I am sure she is taking zillions. I love the photos here and how you arranged them and I love that background pp. You do fab 2 pagers.
This is a great layout and OMG, talk about thinking on the same wavelength ... I just did a Disney 2 pager (without having seen this one) and it had similar elements (the characters at the corners, the journaling, the stitching). Except the paper piecings on yours make this LO so much more personal (I used store bought disney chipboards). One of these days I will have to seek your advice on the whole paper piecing technique.
GREAT lo! I was in WDW in May 05! i think the 18th to 20th, we did the 3 on land, 4 at sea disney cruise vacation. BEST VACATION EVER! ened up with 2 big 12x12 scrapbooks
I love these photos and the stitching does look great. It is time consuming though. I think I did it on one lo and probably won't be doing it again for a while....my hand still hurts! LOL
I like the photos. You did a great job displaying them here. Like the stitching. Like the frame around the one photo. The Mickey and Minnie paper piecings? are cute too.
