This photo has been on my "must" list for several years, the layout itself started to germinate when I received the Timepiece Spotlight Kit in April. The Jen’s September Round Robin at Swirlydoos gave me the incentive to finally print out the photo, take out the kit and get to work. It had to be slapped around a bit and my original idea turned out to be not so great. I finally let the thing have its way...
The flowers are truly "this and that", Timepiece pp, Timmy kraft glassine, 7 Gypsies tissue paper, and burlap, a component that I'm beginning to love. All of the metal doo-dads are from M's. I bought the larger pieces on clearance back in January when Meg and I went to Ohio to visit Kathy and Kathi. I found the smaller ones on a tip from Jenabler, thanks, sweetie!!!!

This is such a beautiful heritage layout, and the photo of your great-grandfather is awesome. Love the flowers and burlap gives the page a very super vintage feel.

gasp - Peggy!!!!! wow. Love the photo. He looks so handsome and down to earth. The timepiece papers are so very perfect here. BUT your flowers really captivate me. stunning beyond words. With the amazing layers - looks like you had a great time making the flowers. You must be happy to have completed this one with such gorgeous outcome.
