Amazing Value for the Money! (28 October 2021)

This kit is a fantastic value for the money you spend on it. I was a little skeptical about this kit at first, because I prefer 3-ring binders over 2-ring binders-- but this deal was too good to pass up, so I decided to give it a try. I'm SO GLAD I did. I liked this so much that I'm likely to go back and buy a second one.

Edited 11-20-2022 to add: Thanks to this kit, I got over my dislike for 2-ring binders and have since bought bunches more of them. I'd still prefer a 3-ring binder given a choice, but since I haven't found any that look good in the 6x8 size, I'm glad to have the 2-ring versions.

The poinsettias on the album cover are beautiful and festive. The cardstock pad offers you a varied selection of colors that are all totally usable (although they aren't an exact match for the colors printed on the cover. In the pad I got, there aren't really 2 reds; the one that looks like the darker red on the cover is really a brown -- which is fine with me, as I find browns easier to use in my pages than the reds are). This is really a fantastic selection of cardstock colors overall -- and not just for Christmas-themed pages.

The stickers are the perfect size for use on 6x8 pages.

The page protectors are great. I'll be back for more of them.

The die looks like it will be really useful, although I haven't had a chance to use it yet.

Overall, I'm more than satisfied with this purchase! I hope there will be a new version of this for Christmas 2022?

Versatile and Useful (03 February 2022)

This stencil set is fantastic! I do not have the matching alpha stamps (although I want them), so when I bought this, I was concerned that I wouldn't find much of anything to use these banners with. But that turned out to be a non-issue; I am finding many things to do with these stencils.

I really appreciate it that you get both the positive and negative space outlines with this set. However, right out of the package, there are rough spots where the inner shape is attached to the stencil. You will have to deal with this if you want to get a clean outline when you use the stencil, but this is really no big deal at all; you just take a narrow nail file (or some distressing tools work for this too) and sand down the 2 rough spots on each side. Spending the few minutes to do this will ensure that your stencil impressions are cleaner.

Assuming you're okay with doing a little sanding, I highly recommend this stencil set. It's really versatile.

  • Horizontal Layout Planner Extension Pages (13 February 2022)

This planner extension pack has some fantastic things about it, and some not-so-great things about it. Overall, I'm happy with it.

You might be wondering what layout the weekly pages are configured in. I was definitely wondering this. They're in a horizontal layout. This is exactly what I wanted, which is why I am happy with this overall.

Another thing that I LOVE about this: The dividers have designs on both sides, so you can reuse them again the next year -- unlike the Happy Planner.

With the Happy Planner, the dividers have a design on one side and half the month's calendar on the other side, so there is no reusing them unless you want to take the time to redate them or cover over them. And if you like to keep your old planners to refer back to (I do), then there is no easy way to reuse your dividers.

I LOVE the way these dividers and calendar pages are designed with the monthly pages ALL after the divider for that month. It drives me absolutely bonkers that the Happy Planner's monthly planning page is at the end of the previous month and not included behind the divider for that month. I am not sure if Maggie Holmes' planners are all designed like this (does anyone know? If so, please post here or message me with info! I'd love any insights you have to share on this!) But if they are, for me, that is a huge selling point, and a reason to consider switching to using Maggie's planners over the Happy Planner.

That said, there are some wonky things about this. There's a monthly overview page that gives you a few inches to write down your monthly goals. I don't know about you, but I need more space than that -- so I'll be doing a lot of stickering overtop of this page in the planner basically every month. Oh well, I can live with that. The weekly layout pages of this extension pack are basically exactly what I want, and I'm SO THRILLED to have the dividers printed without any part of the calendar on them. Love, love, LOVE that aspect of this extension pack.

If you prefer to use a horizontal layout, I highly recommend this extension pack to you. If you prefer a vertical layout, this probably isn't going to be what you want -- keep looking for something else.

Best Stamps EVER (19 July 2022)

This is one of my all-time most-used stamp sets. I LOVE IT!

I use the long, thin oval label pretty much daily in my planner. It is the perfect size to use with one of the P13 tracker stamps (sold separately, also available at Scrapbook.com).

I also use the other labels pretty frequently as well. The shorter oval is the perfect size to use with some of the stamps from the Hero Greetings Christmas Messages set by Hero Arts. I also occasionally use it to surround the words "To Do" when I stamp them using letters from the Milo's Alphabet stamp set by Lawn Fawn.

I am definitely getting my money's worth out of these stamps, and can highly recommend them to other crafters.

One of My Two Most-Used Planner Stamp Sets (23 April 2023)

I have a bunch of different planner stamp sets. Most of them don't get used that often, but there are two sets I use almost daily. This is one of them.

I use the water tracker stamp in this planner almost every day; the only time I don't use it is when I'm using a planner page or printable page that already has a water tracker printed on it. I usually stamp this stamp onto one of the labels I make using the label stamps from the Lawn Fawn "Just for You Labels" stamp set ( now discontinued, but you can see it here: https://www.scrapbook.com/store/lf-lf1132.html ) and then cut out the label with the tracker on it and tape it onto my planner.

Most months, I track supplements and chores daily on my planner pages by making separate labels for "Wellness" and "Chores". Then at the end of the month, if I have time, I use the large monthly tracker stamp from this set to go back through my pages and make summaries to see how I did for the month. This gives me a big-picture look at how I did and what I need to work on for the next month. I've uploaded several of these monthly summary pages to the "Projects" section so you can see how they look.

The water tracker stamp and large 31-day tracker stamps are the two stamps in the set that have been most useful to me, but I use ALL of the other stamps, too. I frequently use the shopping cart stamp and the star-shaped tracker stamp in my planner. The others get used less often.

I use the mini calendar stamp on scrapbooking layouts occasionally. I really appreciate having it; this stamp is a lot quicker and easier to use than similar stencils that serve the same purpose. LOVE it! I highly recommend these stamps to scrapbookers who would be likely to use the mini calendar stamp in the set.

Overall, I have found all the stamps in this set to be really helpful for keeping myself on track with things I need to do. I highly recommend this set to other crafters who want to increase productivity while also having amazing looking planner pages, bullet journal pages or scrapbook pages
