Easy to use (15 May 2015)

I saw the card example used in the video for this product and thought it was a beautiful card. It makes it so much easier than stamping or cutting out individual letters. I used it on thinly striped paper and with any die cut, they suggest you place a piece of tape to hold it in place. I'm fairly new to using Sizzix dies. It worked great on card stock, on thinner pattern paper, I had to run it through a few times then place another piece of paper on top since it's thinlit. I'm still learning!

not happy with this paper (15 May 2015)

I was hoping for more butterfly print and better colors relating to butterflies. I bought a paper pack from Prima several years ago and it's almost the same as that pack as far as the print is concerned only a few things replaced on it and a lot of squared off images that are very fine print. The colors are too washed out and there is this image of a butterfly with this woman on it that almost looks like a mermaid's body with two horn looking things coming out of her head. I guess they're supposed to be antennae? With all the card stock I have in my collection, brown is about the only color to match. Even my lightest pastels are too bright. The little butterflies are cute though. The paper does have a bit of vintage look to it.

    Echo Park 6x6 pad (23 July 2013)

I bought this for a friend for a swap. Half the patterns are cute and match, then there are some patterns I didn't think matched at all. There's another black pattern paper signs and arrows, a black plain paper and the yellow print is feather quills. Maybe if I had purchased the 8x8 I could get more use out of the paper pack.

    decorative brads (23 July 2013)

They're ok, but not worth what I paid for them. Not everything is a brad.

pink washi tape (23 July 2013)

I bought this to match some papers for a project I'm working on and it's true to it's color on the screen.

green washi tape (23 July 2013)

The color is true to what the picture shows. I bought it match some papers and I'm happy with it.

  • Another cute stamp (01 February 2013)

Great stamp for the price. I'm new to stamping and it's easy to work with. I got this from my Secret Santa.

  • I love it! (01 February 2013)

I received from my Secret Santa and I can't wait to make some Valentine's Day greetings with it!

  • Very bright (01 February 2013)

I love my glitters! This is a very fine glittler and a little goes a long way! I got this from a Secret Santa swap here on Scrapbook.com!

  • Lots to play with (01 February 2013)

The colors weren't as bright as I hoped for, but I'll have fun playing with them. I got them from a secret Santa swap.

    Not what I expected (28 May 2012)

Some of the patterns are very pretty, but then there are several that are combined patterns and since this is an 8x8 pad, the prints get lost. I would rate this higher if it were a 12x12 paper pack.

    Very happy (02 September 2011)

I really like this product so far. It has a fairly even mist, it hasn't got clogged up after the third use and it adds just the right amount of shimmer to your projects.

Right up my alley! (29 August 2011)

I just started a BOM (book of me) and these papers are going to be perfect! There's maybe one pp I don't care for but the rest, yah! Great name for this paper!!! If you like paisley patterns and peace signs, you'll love it!

backside is very pretty! (29 August 2011)

The front would be good for a retro lo. I love the green and brown print on the back, very soft colors. The paper is thicker than regular paper and a lot thinner than cardstock. The saying on the front is "She stopped to smell the daisies"

    Very purple (09 June 2011)

These will look nice on a layout or tag

True to its color (05 June 2011)

I had not problems with leakage or spraying it. I love the color, can't wait to use it in a layout.

    it leaks (05 June 2011)

This is the second bottle of Shimmerz I've purchased that the bottle leaks at the base of pump and nothing comes out. When I opened the package, it has leaked all over the sides of bottle. It's a shame, because otherwise, I like the color.

  • cute notes (15 May 2011)

I like how there's a large variety in the pack. Can't wait to use them. (part of gift package from NSD)

  • it's ok (15 May 2011)

Not a fan of this print. I like the blue back side though. I got this in my NSD prize package.

    CUTE (15 May 2011)

I bought these to go with the Monsterville Susie Street paper. Can't wait to use them on my nephews' pages!

    blah (15 May 2011)

I wasn't happy when I opened the box, a very nylon like material and there's a lot of the brown and purplish brown flower. But for the price I paid, I'll be able to use them.

    Very pink (15 May 2011)

These are a very deep bright pink. Can't wait to use them!

    glittery (15 May 2011)

The striped side is very glittery! True to the color on the photo. Can't wait to use it on a bday lo.

Easy to handle (15 May 2011)

I like the feel of the runner. But it doesn't like to stick to heavier cardstock. So far, everything I've mounted has popped up a day or two later. So much for being permanent.

    pretty color (03 April 2011)

I made some flowers the other day and put a little of the shimmerz on the ends of the petals. I turned out nice. I think the price for this is a bit too high, but glad I tried it out. The color is pretty true to the color you see on your computer screen.

Easy to use (29 March 2011)

I've been wanting to order this and glad I did. It holds the punch in place and actually makes it easier to punch now. You can space out your punches any distance you want and helps punching all around a frame.

    shimmerz paint (28 March 2011)

I just bought my first bottle of Shimmerz paint bamboo leaf. I'm not loving it. It's taking about 8 or 9 pumps to get it to spritz. I bought some masks and it's taking forever to get it covered.

I called customer service, they replaced it. The new bottle squirts a little better. I made some fairies and misted some of the wings, but wasn't overly impressed. I don't like the way it curls up the paper when it dries. The paint looks a lot darker than it is when sprayed and dried.

Punch out a butterfly anwhere on your page. (28 March 2011)

I bought this by accident, I wanted a different butterfly punch by MS. Instead of taking it back to the store, I tried it out. You can cut out butterflies anywhere on your layout. And you hardly use any hand muscles when you press down to punch. The magnets line it up only one way, so you can't screw up unless you have your paper upside down.

Use it all the time (27 February 2011)

I like my Silhouette SD. I like it even better since they now have their own software (vs Robo Master) The only drawback I have is the cutting mats lose it's stickiness after about the tenth use. I just use tape to keep my paper in place. What sold me on this product is the fact I can download any font off the internet for free and it will recognize it. You can get yearly subscriptions and download tons of images every month. They recently added a feature that you can pick out a shape of digital die cut you want then type a word or phrase and form it to that shape. There are many bloggers out there who give tutorials on their projects. So many cool things you can do! I bought my machine almost 2 years ago and use it all the time. There is no time limit to the support you get from the company either. If the line is busy, you can leave your name and number and they will call you back if you need help. Awesome customer support!

  • Great for journaling (23 February 2011)

I'm putting together scrapbooks for each of my nieces and nephews for when they graduate. This is a great tool to punch the paper I use for my journalling. I don't find too many tools to use for teenagers who are not into dances or sports, or pink.

Also, for something different, I took a piece of paper, punched the bottom edge and then took a strip of card stock to put below it. (picture the image above but upside down)

Great for teens (25 June 2009)

My 7th grader loves this design. Lots of guitars and other cool things and sayings for teenagers. I bought these to go with her school dance pictures. And the colors are easy to match with the basic card stock I have. Now I need to find some guitar stickers!

paisley paper punch (25 June 2009)

I like the design of this product. I have the QuicKutz Silhouette Sd which I downloaded a paisely and the small paisley punches compliments the larger paisley.

When I went to the Tonic Studios website, they boast about their "boot" design that supposedly offers easier use of this product. You have to hold your palm over the top and press down firmly, so you need to make sure you have a hard work surface. If you have carpal tunnel or arthritis, it hurts to use it. I bought two other punches, cute, but same thing.

Plus, there is another attachment you need to purchase if you want to use the punches as a border. (you can play around and measure to make it work without it.)
