Bad to the Bone

In February 2002 Jasmine borke her back leg. After being in a cast for a little over a week, the cast developed an odor. When she went back the vet we discovered that the metal var in the cast had worn a hole in her leg and the hole had become infected. She was gien a massive dosage of antibiotics at which point she became sick to her stomeach for the next ten days. She would not eat or drink and was vomiting. We were told to change her medicaiton and we were instructed on how to force feed her or she would die. We spend the nest few days smearing concentrated pet food on he palate and holding her mouth closed until she would swallow. Finally she started to eat on her own and after six weeks and tice weekly doctor visits, the cast came off and she is on the road to recovery.
