I like the idea of a vellum or parchment behind the journaling with maybe a burnt in grunged edging to give it an old world feel.
Other than that, very cool, nice usage of photos and I love the title font for this.
Great colors! I love how you scattered the pictures, there's a good flow for the eye to follow. I agree that maybe a pale vellum behind the journaling would make it stand out more. I thought that possibly another color would work too, but I can't think of a good suggestion either.
Wow! I love the orange with the gold filigree(sp?) & jewels--feels very much like the "orient" to me(spices and persian rugs and all that!)!
Love the colors. It definitely has that Moraccan feel. Journaling is a little hard to read, maybe a very pale vellum to help bring out the letters? Love the gold touches.
I did this for a challenge at another site. I'm pretty happy with how it came out too. It's about our ferry trip to Morocco while visiting my brother in Spain. We were only there for the afternoon and it was rather freaky being in a place where we didn't understand the language or customs entirely. However, despite it being a port town, it was the most incredibly smelling place I had ever been. Dirty, yes, but smelled delicious! It was Ramadam, and dinner was cooking while we were there. Also, the markets had piles and piles of spices. Just delicious!
