ooommgg you made it so perfect! Perfect design, perfect colors, perfect pictures and too much perfect journaling. I just love it!!! It so captures a mommy/son moment. Great job!
Wow! LOVE this layout! It's a great story -- your journaling is SO vivid! It's great photos and I love all the details - the chipboard letters -- the COLORS, the paint!! VERY artistic!
But oh that face?!? how can you say no!!!
I can see how hard it would be not to give in to those beautiful, but pleading, blue eyes! We can all remember such times with little ones, but you were true to your scrapbooking addiction to get such great pics!
I love this layout! The pics, the design, the title, the whole concept is just wonderful. But your heartfelt journaling is priceless. You captured the moment perfectly!!!
These were pics of my ds on our way home from work one nite - he wanted McDonalds & I said no. Poor guy! Journaling reads: "This was one of the longest drives home from daycare. Although the twenty minute ride home didn't take any longer than any other night, it seemed like we'd never get home! You wanted McDonald's and I said, 'No'. The tantrum began. "Mommy, go back NOW!!!' O.K., try to ignore him. 'Mommy, I said go back!' Although these tantrums happen more often than years past, they are still a rare occassion. Realizing we are not going back, you take a new tact. The tears begin. The pleading begins. 'Please mommy! Please, please, please!' Now it's so tough to ignore. You'd think I told you that you could never play with a toy again. You were so sad! I try my hardest to take the tough approach. 'Brady, enough!' Doesn't work. 'I promise to eat it all! I PROMISE!' Huge crocodile tears. Try to convince myself that explaining to you that I'm not trying to hurt you will not help you understand. Remain calm & try to ignore. More bargaining. 'I promise, I just want it this ONE time!' Followed by more tearful pleas. 'Please mommy, please, please, please! I promise to be good!' And then it happened. Although to many it may seem sadistic, the scrapbooker in me knew this was a moment I needed to capture. It was a rough ride home for both of us. Your tears flowed freely and I was fighting mine back. How easy it would be to give in. But what lesson would that teach you? What is so tough is that even during your worst tantrum, you are so polite! I bet you said 'please' at least 50 times on the way home. You must know that you make it so hard to say no when you are so polite and so sad. End result? No McDonald's and smiles 5 minutes after returning home. Oh...and the next night? Guilt remains and you get McDonald's for dinner! 'Thanks mommy!'" (I painted behind each thing we said to make it stand out. TFL!
