I see myself in you

A scraplift of a layout by Jody Dent-Pruks. I love her work!

Journalling reads:
You are a first born child. I am a first born child. 24 years separate us and yet everyday I see myself in you.Sometimes that's a good thing. I'm proud to see traits that I see as my strengths being passed on to you. And other times I'm forced to pause when I see things about me, which are not my best qualities, being mirrored back through you. It is wonderful and it is unsettling, all at the same time. Like me, you are contrary, stubborn, determined, talkative, smart. You get me and I get you. As I look at your face in this photo, I am full of love and couldn't be prouder of you. I understand you more than you know.
