I absolutely love the paper with the wineglass! How perfect! You are really the wine connoisseur! I'm quite impressed. I just know Moscato is sweet and I like sweet. And if the wine isn't sweet enough, Bill adds sugar. And he always adds sugar to champagne. You can see people at the table just stare at him in disbelief and then cringe! But if a Moscato is sweet, or a Riesling is sweet enough, he will drink it without adding sugar! You have been doing a beautiful job documenting and scrapping your wine tasting excursions! I laughed when I saw "The Full Monte" is a wine!
Wine tasting Dec 8th 2017. Made a pocket on the right page for the brochure and tasting menu.
Journal page 1 Dec 8th - We headed East towards Johnson City. Our 1st stop - Hye Meadow Winery. Nice tasting room with stools, original art (for sale) & signs showing the Phonetic spelling of the wines & grapes (showing how to pronounce them).
Journal page 2 Tried 7 wines each - all Texas grapes. One white - Junkyard White - blend of Reisling & Trebbiano. Would be good with seafood. A dry Rose - Rosato from Mourvedre & Sangiovese grapes. Next up the reds 1) Junkyard Red - Tempranillo, Sangiovese & Mourvedre blend 2) The Full Monte - little heavier - smooth tannis 3) Aglianico - nice finish 4) Petit Verdot - deep red 5) Special tasting of Dolcetto - excellent not much left but out of our price range. We will have to come back.
