Give a Cheer
I've coloured up an adorable butterfly image from Krista Heij-Barber from Whimsy Stamps with my Promarkers. I chose tones that would blend well with the gorgeous Gina K Plum Punch Cardstock I wanted to use for the card frame. I chose a scalloped edge frame from Whimsy to create a full front shaker card and the design concept was planned. I stencilled some background interest with an older Whimsy Stamps Pinwheel Stencil, sadly now retired, but this added some interest on the base panel for when the shaker elements are dropped to the bottom. I filled the shaker cavity with a mix of shaker elements. Some have been in my stash since my earliest crafting days, so it was lovely to use these. The newer sequins used are from a This Calls For Confetti mix and included the lovely large pink Maple leaf you can see. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Sweet Plum Ink, and added three tiny maple leaves from a Trinity Stamps Autumn Sunset Leaf Confetti Embellishment Box. I put together the shaker frame using some narrow foam strips, added the sequins and frame which I had added the acetate layer to previously and closed up the design. I added the shaker panel to a top folding card base to complete.
