This is my LO for the Swirlydoos "Butterfly Whispers" kit Sketch Challenge.
I really loved the paper from this kit and I wanted to do it justice, so I went back through my OLD photo albums - ones that I haven't scrapped yet - and found this series of photos of my older daughter taken in 1983.
I was going to night school to finish my Masters Degree, and Beth spent the evenings I was at school with my parents. My friend Terry made arrangements with them to come take these photos and surprised me with them that Christmas. It was a precious, loving gesture, and I'll always be grateful to him for thinking of such a thoughtful gift. The pictures were all wonderful - and it was hard to pick which ones to scrap!

Everything you see is from the Swirlydoos Kit with the exception of the small roses and the rub-on title. The papers are inked up with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.
I took the chipboard swirl (from the Swirlydoos kit) apart, painted it (Delta Off White), then spritzed it with tattered rose home-made shimmer paint. I applied the same shimmer to the small roses. I found them this week in the bridal section at HL, knew they'd be perfect with this layout and they were 40% off, so, well, DUH... I also shimmered the canvas paper from last month's Swirlydoos "From Venice with Love" kit.
I used some glossy accents along the edge of the flowers and then dipped them in diamond dust to give them a little sparkle. A big thank-you to Lisa for the tip, even though I failed to follow the directions. :-P
Thanks for looking! I appreciate comments and suggestions.
