In honor of mother's day, I did a layout of my mom. This is for the May Scrap Your Faves Challenge. It is a lift of the ever so talented Jackie Anderson and her Delight layout. The papers are from the March kit over at MCS. Everything on the layout is from the kit except for the pearls. I also used my favorite MS lace punch. My lift is not an exact copy of her layout. When I lift, I always make some changes of some kind, no matter how small they may be. In this case, my flowers and swirls are different and I didn’t put the circle thing under the bow. I also added a few butterflies to the circle as well. This was my first attempt with the ribbon and pearls. I need to practice a lot more on this technique. And I had never put ric rac around a circle before. That was much easier than the ribbon and pearls! The photo is of my mother just a few weeks ago at a baby shower for my cousin. TFL!
