Our guide told us he owned his own tiny private island and our last stop was to visit his little island. It was indeed very tiny and we saw his little 2-story hut, the only living quarters on the island. A bad storm last year washed away the downstairs and it is being renovated now but he is still livingin the upstairs portion. He told us that another storm will always tear it down so he keeps it very primitive. He has a generator for electricity and also has his own water collection system for fresh water.
We got off the boat and walked around his tiny island and marveled at the beauty of mainland Bora Bora a short boat ride across the water.
