I really enjoyed making this card with the Fancy Fish Stamp Set from Whimsy Stamps. I used a gorgeous slimline paper pack, the fish and a cool postage edge slimline die. I love the way using dies in the background creates a 'spotlight effect' drawing attention to the fish. I added a little stamping with the little schools of fish in the background and the white bubbles. It was otherwise a quick card to create with the beautiful slimline paper doing all the heavy lifting. I stamped the fish in dark green ink and then coloured them with my Copic Markers. I used a white gel pen to go over the eyes and then used a black gel pen to add the dark centre back in. This just makes those features look better, as they are often paled out or coloured over in a smaller canvas like this. I added a sentiment in black, which I chose rather than white, as I didn't want it to be overly obvious, so that the focus remained on the fish. But after stamping it, I decided I wanted it to have a little sparkle on it, so I wrote over it with a sparkle gelly roll pen. It's very sparkly up close and shimmers in the light. Still with a darker finish so as not to take over, but with a bit of added interest. All the layers of this card have been popped up on black foam, so the edges didn't show white, a cool trick with darker papers.
