This page is a prayer about my respect for my husband. It is something I wanted to record for my own personal scrapbook and for my children to know and see in writing. When I started out I had the word "RESPECT" in smaller type. As I kept working on the page the word kept getting larger. It seems I couldn't get the word large enough to express the huge amount of respect I have for him. I did have to leave room for the journaling.
The prayer reads: "Dear Heavenly Father,
You do know best and your plans are best. There is no man, on the face of
the earth, that I respect more than the man you gave me to be my husband.
Having been married to him for 26 years and having 8 children together I
feel very qualified to speak of his character. He has worked tirelessly to
physically provide for this family. Yet, he manages to make time for us.
What amazes me most is that you have taken him from a young man who
didn’t have any role models to look up to and have made him such a wonderful
man and father. I know of no other person who has such physical strength
and endurance to accomplish all that he has and simultaneously be a great dad.
As our children are getting older it is becoming more apparant that they
respect him and look to him as someone they admire and seek advice from.
They enjoy spending time with him. There is a gleam of admiration and
respect in their eyes as they talk with him. I believe it has been your plan
all along to bring the heart of this father to his children and the heart
of our children to their father. I am so very thankful and blessed that you
have chosen to do this in our generation. I feel extremely blessed to have
been one of the recipients of the benefits of your wonderful predestined
plan. Words alone can not express enough thanks. I love this man you have
blessed us with and I love you, my Abba Father. In Jesus Name, Amen
“to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the
children to their fathers, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous
- to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” Malachi 4:6 Luke 1:37"
