These are some of my favorite photos of me and my sister when we were young- they always make me smile (esp the one in the upper right corner!). The memo board is a modified version of one I made on another page. The numbers next to the photos reference the journaling, followed by the two-digit year that the photo was taken.

Journaling reads:
Of the hundreds of captured moments of our childhood, these particular photographs are among the ones I cherish the most. Behind each of these snapshots is a memory… when woven together, the memories make up the story of our sisterhood.

No. 1 This was our first meeting. Wanting to create a bond between us, Dad put little sleeping you in my arms and told me, “This is your baby sister to take care of.” His plan worked well- I have not forgotten those words to this day.

No. 2 I remember this so clearly… the grownups were crowding around you, eager to see the new baby. You were hot, uncomfortable, and prepared for tears. Positioned defensively in front of you, I threw my best tantrum, shooing everyone away from you. I am sure they thought I was jealous that you were getting all the attention.

No. 3 We splashed around in this tiny inflatable pool for hours at a time and days on end, you in your little plaid bikini, me in my red and blue superhero one-piece. There was nothing like the summer days of childhood.

No. 4 This photo means so much to me. I love that I am following right behind you, watching over you, protecting you, being there for you. And I will be there for you always.
