Journaling Reads:

The Clan Wolf Dinner was held to honor the new chief of this Scottish tribe, Missy Clark. We had a ceremony to induct her and then got in a big line to eat. While waiting, I noticed Tygh's mom, Susan, wearing a gorgeous fire opal ring. She explained it was her grandmother's and was the same ring she wrote her folk song "Grandma's Ring" about. The history of it was fascinating! We had dinner, drank mean, and had a wonderful time.

After dinner we sat around chatting and laughing for a while. To my surprise, Tygh's mom handed her Grandmother's ring across the table. Tygh took it, got down on one knee and proposed! Of course I said yes and an announcement was made to everyone at the dinner. They all cheered - except the newly inducted chief! She called us up to the front so Tygh could 'ask her permission' for the engagement. "You couldn't have chosen a finer woman," was her reply.
