This was such a difficult layout to do. It needed a specific feeling - clean, oriental. I really wanted to incorporate the "Karate" kanji. I also loved the clipping path with the photo I did early on and was determined to keep it. I put this away for a long time and came back to it and am very pleased with the way it turned out.
Journaling Reads:
The first day of karate class. Alaina and Claire were so excited!! As the classes continued, I could hardly contain myself watching them learn more and more. Some moves and forms are still very difficult for them but they both hang in and do their best. Funny that their favorite thing to do is work on the mannequins! We may make fighters out of them yet. And how cute are they in their uniforms?!!!
