Isn't handsewing just too tedious (i should know, i do that a lot! LOL)! great use of CBX here, Jasmine! ;) If you want to position journaling on the top right side, you may do so by making a booklet so that the long journaling are in pages. You may also decorate the front of the booklet to match the theme/color scheme. :) love the sewing and the monochromatic scheme! :) bet you had a blast at the night safari (in Singapore, right? love it there too!). :d
This is really cool. I've been trying to use these papers lately and not really liking the results, and this is awesome! For journaling, just another idea is an elongated (taller than wide) file folder kinda thing. That way you can double your writing space and still decorate the outside however you want. Can keep it closed with a photo turn. Like I said, just another idea! I like the sound of the hinges mentioned earlier, too! And the 'remember' on your page is really striking - excellent coice of placement!
Great lo! Love the colors you used. I generally like hidden joournaling on tags, but it looks like the stitiching might make that a little difficult to do (you could put the tag behind the photo, but be sure to use lots of ribbon to fill up the empty space to the right). I do like Dawn's idea of a hinged box for journaling in that empty space because it seems to me that more meatl embellies would flow better with the rest of the lo than tons of ribbon. Love the pps and the way you did the title too; great work :)
Nice job...I like the use of the CBX papers here. I like the idea Dawn suggested about a hinged tag for hidden journaling next to your pic. Love the title and that sewing!
I would make a hinged tag that you keep closed with a clip or tie ribbon. You can make a tag with a folded piece of cs or whatever. That way it can be an embellishment plus a journaling box!! Other than that this is very beautiful. I love the brown choice of color. Great pic's! Fantastic LO!!
Jasmine, love the pp here & very unique criss-cross! good job! May I suggest a library pocket for the right of the top photo. That will give you ample room for your journaling. Fantastic sewing work...I have to try that technique one of these days!
I like the idea of a tage for journaling. I would make it long enough so that part of the tag and the ribbons/fibers stick out from under the pic & fill some of the emptiness to the right. Great work stitching. Nice papers. TFS!
WOW! I love this LO. Love brown, so... Your pps are so great. Love the metal title and the "remember" too. And this map tied with cross ribbon is awesome, what a great idea. I'd suggest a pocket with your journaling in the top right to fill the empty space.
I would try to do hidden journaling. If you left a tag with a ribbon or pull tab exposed you could have a lot of room for you journal. The tag gould also help to fill the empty space. This is just my thoughts. Hope to have helped!!TFS
My edited LO! The object on the right (what do you call it?) with the pictures of animals contains my journaling. Here it is: On a night like this, when the moon is high and the stars are bright, the wolves go out to play, the hyenas howl, the tigers prowl, the owl hoots in search for its prey. Take great care when walking the trails, there just may be a leopard to see, a lion on the prowl, a rhino in sight, even a bat that haunts the night. But then you see, what's really worryin' me... are not those creatures that I see, it's that huge python that's sneaking up on me!
