This is lovely. I loved Steve Irwin, he was such an inspiration to me while studying Bio in college. Esp after just having returned from a year in Oz. I cried like a baby when he died.
Crikey what a beaut mate! He will have loved that hey! We (in Australia) had so many tributes to Steve - he was such a great guy - the saddest thing is that most people didn't realise what he did until he died. Australia Zoo in Brissie (Brisbane) is always full now! His death wasn't in vain but was a true waste of one of the greatest men. Suzie
This layout, a tribute to Steve Irwin, has been a long time coming. I started a paper version of this layout not long after he died, but it remains unfinished. So I finally decided to do it digitally instead. The journaling says: 'Steve Irwin wasn't your typical celebrity. He was different. Real. Honest. He made a difference. Everything he did was a fight on behalf of those who couldn't speak for themselves. He was brave, courageous and inspiring. Sure, we had a giggle at his 'Crikey, she's a beaut' accent...but we admired the hell out of him. Here's to you, Steve. Long may your legacy live in on in the hearts of all who you inspired.' The pictures, title and signature are from his website (www.crocodilehunter.com), and no, I didn't have permission to use them. I'm hoping no one will mind, since it's just for my own personal scrapbook.
