I decided to make a mini album about my new MINI Cooper the day I brought it home from the dealership. The MM 8x8 Mini album was just perfect; the color matched my new car! It's 24 pages and it took me 24 days to finish it, although I did it in 2-page spurts on the weekends. I couldn't make it too lumpy since it's only held together with staples, and even now I worry that the cardstock I put on almost every page bulked it up so much that one day it will blow it's seam. But so far, so good. Since the mini album doesn't have page protectors, I had to plan things out carefully ahead of time. Using brads meant either putting them down with a glue dot, or punching them through the cardstock before glueing the cardstock down.
This album was a hoot to make! My car is Electric blue, the color of a rich blue sky, so I knew I wanted to include lots of bright colors. I had a bottle of mixed blue Prima flowers, and I unified all of the pages by using at least one Prima flower on each page. This is my first mini book, but I plan on making more in the future since it was so much fun!
