I started w/red cardstock, background of card front is matted w/black cardstock. The stamp is called "Promise" by Hampton Art Stamps. I stamped the image on white cardstock several times in various inks from Distress inks in Antique Linen and Vintage Photo to Versafine black. I watercolored in some areas. I cut w/my xacto knife the faces and the squares with either the front or back of the 'promise'..images are pop-dotted to either raise or lower the faces/promises. The tiny tag has my initials and I tied embrodery floss instead of ribbon..and made it look as though it's hanging from the word 'Art', which was also cut from the original piece. The jewel square is one of those 'bedazzle' jewels. This is the 4th and last card for this month. I was fortunate enough to have met a group of talented stampers when I moved here to NM! There are 5 of us in the original group and 2 of the 5 have moved far enough away that they cannot meet for our cardmaking sessions.. I was inspired to challenge them to get back 'in touch' .. this month's challenge was to make a card for each member of the group..the only stipulation was we had to use a 'virgin' stamp... we all have TONS of stamps..and like with so much of the scrapbooking stuff also..alot sit around a long while before they actually see any ink.. Thanks for looking! Would love to know what you think!
